Registration can be completed from 8 am until 12 pm. Please come to the AHS Office located at 430 Greenwood Ave, door 10.

If you are coming from outside of CMCSS, please bring the following information with you:

1. Tennessee state-issued ID
2. Birth certificate
3. TN Immunization Record (you can get yours transferred from another state at the health department located at 330 Pageant Ln
4. Two proofs of residency from the list below:

Mortgage bill

Property Tax Receipt

Current lease (within last 12 months) naming you as a tenant

Utility bill (electric, gas, water, waste disposal, cable)

Vehicle registration or current car insurance

Federal tax record, Social Security document, State assistance document

Important Information Regarding Graduation

TICKET INFORMATION

All CMCSS graduations will take place at the Austin Peay State University Dunn Center (510 Drane Street, Clarksville). Tickets will be distributed by your student’s high school. A maximum of 10 tickets will be provided to each student, and tickets cannot be reproduced or replicated.

CMCSS graduations are opportunities to celebrate students’ accomplishments.  All of the following rules will apply to ALL CMCSS graduations unless otherwise notified by CMCSS administration.

• For the safety and security of our students, families, and faculty, all graduations will utilize the OpenGate weapons detection system.
• Graduations will implement a Clear Bag Policy for all guests. See details below.
• Every guest, regardless of age, must have a ticket to be admitted.
• Guests are not permitted on the floor of the Dunn Center before, during, or after the ceremony.
• Please do not arrive more than 30 minutes before your graduation ceremony.
• The seating is open and should not be held for late arrivals to your party.
• Please leave the Dunn Center no later than 30 minutes after your graduation ceremony ends.

Clear Bag Policy

• One (1) clear tote (plastic, vinyl, or PVC) per person is permitted.
• Clear totes should not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″, and schools have the discretion to prohibit any oversized clear tote bags.
• One (1) one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziplock bag or similar) per person is permitted.
• Clear bags cannot be tinted or have large graphics that obstruct visibility.
• Approved family care items (diapers, formula, etc.) must be included in the clear plastic tote bag.
• All bags are subject to search.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:

• Purses, fanny packs, backpacks, duffel bags, coolers, briefcases, diaper bags, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, and computer bags

Tennessee Promise is both a scholarship and mentoring program focused on increasing the number of students who attend college in our state. It provides students a last-dollar scholarship, meaning the scholarship will cover the cost of tuition and mandatory fees not covered by the Pell grant, the HOPE scholarship, or the Tennessee Student Assistance Award. Students may use the scholarship at any of the state’s 13 community colleges, 24 colleges of applied technology, or other eligible institution offering an associate degree program.

Applicants must complete the Tennessee Promise application by November 3, complete the FAFSA by April 1, attend a mandatory meeting, and complete 16 hours of community service each year to be eligible for the award.

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System will host the Teach with the Best Hiring Event on Tuesday, March 25, at 4:00 p.m. Applicants who hold a current TN Teaching License or are actively pursuing a TN Teaching License are invited to attend. The event will be held at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center in Clarksville, and interested candidates are encouraged to register for the event here.

CMCSS is looking to fill nearly 100 teaching positions at over 40 schools. While available teaching positions exist in almost every school, high-needs areas include Special Education, elementary teachers, secondary math and science, and school counselors. While at the job fair, interested applicants can meet school administrators and learn more about the school culture. From 4:00 – 5:30 p.m., attendees will have an open session to network and make connections. School administrators will host interviews from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., and principals may set up interviews on the spot.

As the district continues to grow, so will the need for dedicated high-quality teachers. In 2023, with the support of the CMCSS School Board, Montgomery County Commission, and the community, the district implemented a mid-year, 5% pay increase for all employees.

CMCSS is one of the few districts in the state with a three-year teacher induction program, offering extensive opportunities for professional development. The district also remains committed to providing a superior employee benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, and other supports.
